Rebecca Davis is a 26-year-old living in North Carolina. She has undergone three open-heart surgeries and seven heart catheterizations. Her first heart catheterization was at three days old followed by her first open-heart surgery at three months old. Most of her procedures have been performed by Dr. Herbert Stern and Dr. Mark Stegall with Sanger Clinic in Charlotte, North Carolina at Carolina’s Medical Center. She is now being followed by Dr. Richard Krasuski at Duke Heart Center South Point in Durham, North Carolina. Rebecca has been through the first and second stage Fontan procedure (ages three and four respectively), a Blalock-Taussig Shunt, and had an Amplatzer Occluder Device placed when she was 12. Rebecca was born with several congenital heart defects including Ventricular Septal Defect. She has a single ventricle heart and is scheduled for another heart catheterization August 22, 2017, to close off her Pulmonary Valve that is leaking.
Rebecca enjoys working on crafts as well as working in several Direct Sales companies. She is happily married to Steven, has a step-daughter and is owned by two cats (Solo and Sandy), two dogs (Bandit and Mitzi), as well as three chickens (Punkin, Pepper, and Misty).
Rebecca’s goal is to educate and raise awareness about CHD along with inspiring others through creativity.
